The Dhai Dubai Light Festival is set to return to Al Wasl Plaza, Expo City Dubai, from 12 to 18 November 2025, promising an even more vibrant display of art, culture, and innovation. This second edition builds on last year’s success, transforming one of Dubai’s most iconic spaces into a glowing canvas of light and storytelling.
Organized by Expo City Dubai in collaboration with Dubai Culture & Arts Authority and creative partner AGB Creative, the festival will once again spotlight seven Emirati artists whose works will weave together tradition and modernity through the universal language of light.
A Celebration of Emirati Creativity
The participating artists will use large-scale light installations to reflect on the UAE’s rich heritage, drawing inspiration from the nation’s landscapes, history, and values. Visitors can expect immersive experiences that encourage interaction, reflection, and discovery.
This year, the festival introduces artist talks and public dialogues at the newly launched House of Arts within Expo City, offering audiences a deeper look into the creative process and the cultural stories behind the artworks.
Highlights from Last Year
The inaugural Dhai Dubai Light Festival in 2024 drew thousands of visitors with its spectacular visual displays, including the standout Sisters of the Desert projection a collaboration between Emirati, Australian, and South African artists. It also supported the Liter of Light initiative, helping provide solar lighting kits to communities in need worldwide.
That first edition closed under the patronage of Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture, who announced the festival’s return, cementing its place in Dubai’s annual cultural calendar.
